In addition one would assume this Shutterbox, due to the complexity would be an expensive repair part.Īnd being somewhat "old school" lol. My concern is it looks a whole load more complicated than a simple tempered Spring - and as we all know, expected shutter life is not guaranteed - purely an average indication. On the surface it seems like a cute idea to reduce vibration but cocerned me a little, tiny plastic driving Cogs going flat out, and the possible wear on the Cams - looks mighty fragile. ![]() The actual movement also seemed quite complex. Viewing a video of the new mechanism, there seemed to be a lot of nylon/plastic Cogs and Cams. It used to be on the Canon UK site but I can't see that anymore. I only ask as I am sure the one for a 5DIII was stated by Canon 150,000.
